Testimonials from museum staff:

“I had the pleasure of collaborating with India on several projects at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum this year, and I can’t recommend her work enough!  During the COVID-19 pandemic we wanted to invite our visitors to find sanctuary at the museum. India created recorded audio meditations designed to be used either onsite or at home, and the visitor (and staff!) feedback was so positive that we invited her back to lead a series of live guided art meditations over Zoom in conjunction with our special exhibition.  I really appreciated India’s openness and thoughtfulness in customizing the projects to meet our institution’s goals. Her guidance is so calming, gentle, and supportive, regardless of your experience level with meditation. She brings so much love, wisdom, and joy to her work and we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to experience it!”

— Liz Gardner, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

We worked with India to create a number of meditation programs based on the MFA’s collection. The two types of settings were quite different, one being a Late Nite event with hundreds of people and the other a small group setting in a closed gallery. Both experiences played to India’s strengths of being flexible, warm, engaging and thoughtful. The audiences had rave reviews of their experience with India and the deep connections between the art on view and meditation practices. It was an absolute pleasure working with India from start to finish and we look forward to working with her again in the future!

Our students were interested in relaxing, nonacademic experiences with our collection. India’s approach to combining art and yoga was a perfect match.

— Emma Cantrell, Smith College Museum of Art

India was a tireless advocate for excellence in gallery education, a generous teacher, a thoughtful mentor (recognized as an influential campus mentor by Governor Duvall Patrick), and a wonderful colleague. She is passionate about the arts, a strategic thinker and planner, and is second to none at consensus and community building. She is a wonderful listener; India connects easily with persons of all ages and backgrounds and easily facilitates meaningful conversations on a range of cultural topics. India is, in the truest sense, a people person and connector.

—Lisa Tung, MassArt Art Museum

“India is intellectually rigorous, honest with herself and others, and deeply and graciously interested in what others think and believe and how they got there. Plus, she’s fun to work with!

— Sandy Weisman, MassArt Art Museum
